Announcement of Release of the EJSG Series Electric Actuator

CKD Corporation (Headquarters: Komaki City, Aichi, Japan, President: Katsuhito Okuoka) will release the EJSG Series electric actuator on November 7, 2022. This product will offer a full lineup of four environment-resistant series for usage in dusty environments (-G), low-dust environments (-C) rechargeable battery manufacturing processes (-P4) and food manufacturing processes (-FP1).

1．Background to development
Due to the diverse working environments of our customers, we have developed electric actuators that pursue ease of use and high rigidity so that they can be used safely in various environments and processes. This series has a lineup of dust-proof specifications, and can extend the service life in dusty environments.

2．Major Applications
(1) Transport and multi-point positioning of workpieces used in various processes
(2) Transport of workpieces in rechargeable battery manufacturing processes
(3) Transport of workpieces in food manufacturing processes

3．Product Features
(1) Compact body with high rigidity
An outer rail is used for the guide which supports the load. The wide guide is integrated with the body to achieve both high rigidity and space saving.

(2) Battery-less absolute encoder
Equipped with an absolute encoder that retains current position information.
Battery-less specification eliminates the need for battery replacements.

(3) Compatible with made-to-order actuators
Made-to-order specifications for custom strokes are available.

(4) Improved durability in dusty environments
Compatible with protection degree IP50.
Durability in dusty environments has been greatly improved compared to standard products.
The distance that can be traveled is more than 2 times that of standard products.
