CKD Privacy Policy

CKD recognizes the importance of protecting personal information in today's highly advanced information society. In compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), as well as other applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, CKD is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the following policy (the "CKD Privacy Policy").

1. Collection of Personal Information

CKD collects personal information only through lawful and fair means.

2. Use of Personal Information

2.1 CKD shall use personal information only to the extent necessary for conducting its business and within the scope of the purposes of use specified below. If such purposes are changed, CKD will notify the individual concerned or publicly announce the changes on our website:
(a) Products, Software and Service

■ Planning, development, design, manufacturing and improvement of products, software and various services, launch of new businesses, research and development of new next-generation products;

■ Purchasing and procurement of materials, components, production equipment, systems, and ancillary works related to products, software, and various services;

■ Business activities for proposal, sales, maintenance support, and various services for products and software;

■ Conducting advertising and promotional activities; providing information on campaigns, exhibitions, and seminars; marketing activities and conducting surveys; managing customer relationships; and carrying out other sales promotion and business development activities.

■ Drafting, executing, performing, and implementing contracts (including electronic contracts), and carrying out other contract management activities.

■ Processing billing, payment, and collection activities related to receivables and payables.

(b) IR and CSR Activities

■ Providing shareholders with corporate information, including management and financial information, and carrying out other public relations, IR, and CSR activities.

(c) Human Resources and Administrative Operations

■ Risk management and the review of business strategies and human capital strategies

■ Providing employment-related information; conducting recruitment activities; collecting and managing employees' personnel and health information; and carrying out other recruitment, human resources, labor management, training and development, and stock-related administrative activities.

■ Processing internal accounting matters, including expense reimbursements.

■ Registering visitors; managing safety and information security; acquiring and managing real estate and lease arrangements; procuring office supplies and equipment; and carrying out other general affairs and administrative operations.

(d) Other Purposes

■ Responding to inquiries, investigations, and service requests related to CKD's business operations, and communicating information associated therewith.

■ Providing personal information to third parties in accordance with the methods described in this Privacy Policy.

■ Other purposes disclosed at the time personal information is collected.

2.2 CKD also collect and use customers' personal information for the purposes of conducting operations relating to the matters described above within CKD's group companies (our subsidiaries and affiliates).

2.3 CKD conducts impartial investigations and appropriate supervision over third parties with whom we share personal information, and to whom we entrust the handling of personal information in addition to forming a Service Agreement with such third party that determines obligation of secrecy and management of personal information.

3. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties

CKD will never provide any personal information to any third party without prior consent unless otherwise required by relevant laws and regulations.

4. Entrustment and Joint Use of Personal Information

CKD entrusts personal information to third parties and jointly uses personal information with CKD 's group companies and its distributors as described below.

4.1 Items of Personal Information Subject to Entrustment and Joint Use:
Name, address, gender, date of birth, age, telephone number, e-mail address, and Individual Number (My Number).

4.2 Purposes of Use of Personal Information Subject to Entrustment and Joint Use:
Within the scope of the purposes of use of personal information specified in Section 2 above.

4.3 Party Responsible for the Management of Personal Information Subject to Entrustment and Joint Use:

5. Measures for the Secure Management of Personal Information

CKD takes necessary and appropriate measures as described below to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal data (including personal information that CKD has acquired or intends to acquire and plans to handle as personal data), and otherwise to ensure the secure management of personal data.

5.1 Organizational Security Control Measures
CKD appoints a Personal Information Protection Manager and implements appropriate management of personal information.

5.2 Personnel Security Measures
CKD provides directors, officers, and employees with education and training regarding the protection and proper management of personal information and ensures the appropriate handling of personal information in the course of daily business operations.

5.3 Technical Security Measures
CKD takes appropriate information security measures against illegal access, computer viruses and such, to prevent the loss, destruction, falsification and leakage of personal information.

5.4 Physical Security Measures
CKD implements measures to prevent the theft or loss of equipment, electronic media, documents, and other items containing personal information. CKD also takes measures to prevent the leakage of personal information through physical removal off-site, transmission, or any other means.

6. Disclosure, Correction, Suspension, and Deletion of Personal Information

CKD recognizes that an individual or his/her authorized representative has the right to request the disclosure of retained personal data or records of third-party provision, and to request the correction, suspension of use, deletion, or other actions with respect to retained personal data. Where such a request is made, CKD will promptly respond in accordance with applicable laws and regulations after verifying the identity and authority of the requester.

7. Response to Personal Information Incidents

In the event of a leakage, loss, or damage of personal data that falls under the circumstances prescribed by applicable laws and regulations, CKD will promptly take the following measures:

1 ) Report the incident to the Personal Information Protection Commission.

2 ) Notify the affected individual.

3 ) If it is difficult to notify the affected individual, take alternative measures, such as publicly announcing the incident.

4 ) Announce recurrence prevention measures on CKD's website.

8. Acquisition and Provision of Personal Data Involving Third Parties Located in Foreign Countries

When acquiring personal data from, or providing personal data to, third parties located in foreign countries (including CKD's overseas subsidiaries), CKD will comply with this Policy (the "CKD Privacy Policy"), the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws and regulations, as well as the personal information protection laws and regulations of the relevant country or region.

9. Establishment, Implementation, Maintenance and Improvement of Personal Information Protection Compliance Program

9.1In order to implement this Policy (the "CKD Privacy Policy"), CKD has established a Personal Information Protection Compliance Program (including this Policy, the Personal Information Protection Regulations, and other related rules and regulations), and ensures that it is communicated to and observed by its employees and other relevant parties. CKD shall implement, maintain, and continuously improve such program.
