Received the “GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2024”

CKD Corporation (Headquarters: Komaki City, Aichi, Japan, President: Katsuhito Okuoka) has received the “GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2024” (sponsored by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion) for its plug-in block manifold “TVG Series” of solenoid valves for pneumatic applications. The receipt of this award for the TVG series brings CKD’s total number of awards since its first in 1984 to 120.

1．Good Design Award Overview
The Good Design Award is the successor to the Good Design Product Selection System established in 1957, and is actively evaluating and promoting designs that represent Japan. The “G Mark”, the symbol of the award is widely known as a symbol of excellent design.

2．Award summary
(1) Name : Plug-in block manifold TVG Series of solenoid valves for pneumatic applications

(2) Product overview : These are solenoid valve manifold units for pneumatic applications. They have low air leakage and durability suitable for high-takt production lines operating for long periods of time. Even though used by plug-in connection, the units have a structure that protects against water, dust and spatter, and industry-first IO-Link Wireless compatibility has expanded the degree of freedom of installation location. The TVG Series is also compatible with global standards.

(3) Design : The TVG Series can be used effectively without leaking air due to the development of a special resin and sealed design, and mounted with a low-power coil, also enables energy-saving operation. In addition, because packing wear has been reduced, high-takt operation over a long period of time is also stable. The TVG Series supports plug-in connection of the coil and wireless communication with PLCs for easy installation and resource saving.
