Received Award at the 2026 Sustainability Transformation Awards

 CKD Corporation (Head Office: Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture; President & CEO: Katsuhito Okuoka) received the Encouragement Award at the 2026 Sustainability Transformation (SX) Awards (Host: Sustainable Management Promotion Organization) for its ClearE-Sheet®, a new eco-friendly blister sheet.*

*Blister sheet: Also known as a Press Through Pack (PTP), a blister sheet is a form of packaging for tablets and capsules where the contents are pushed out using the fingers.

(3) Judges’ Comments: Given the stringent constraint of reducing packaging waste in the field of pharmaceutical packaging, ClearE-Sheet® earned high praise for achieving improved resource efficiency by means of new manufacturing technologies.
In particular, improving the low yield and large manufacturing losses—challenges in the conventional manufacturing process of blister sheets, which are essential as pharmaceutical packaging materials—and reducing the amount of plastic waste generated during processing are significant accomplishments.
Another noteworthy feature of ClearE-Sheet® is that it achieves both reduced environmental impacts and improved cost efficiency, all while maintaining quality and safety.
Implemented in the pharmaceutical field, where strict regulations are required, this practical initiative earned high praise as a pioneering model for support of a sustainable supply of medication.
It is a significant initiative that is expected to see further adoption and generate ripple effects within the industry.
