Received the “Good Design Award 2020” 

 

CKD Corporation (Headquarters: Komaki City, Aichi, and President: Kazunori Kajimoto) was awarded the “Good Design Award 2020” (sponsored by Japan Institute of Design Promotion) for its “Grippers for collaborative robots — RLSH Series, RHLF Series and RCKL Series”. CKD was awarded in this product category for the third straight year.

1. Good Design Award Overview
Founded in 1957, it is the only comprehensive design evaluation / recommendation system in Japan. The award-winning symbol “G mark” is widely known as a symbol that indicates good design.

2. Award summary
(1) Title:
Grippers for collaborative robots — RLSH / RHLF / RCKL Series
(2) Product overview:
These are pneumatic gripper components with a dedicated teaching software for collaborative robots that enable various tasks with humans. With a small amount of air exerts a high gripping force to support workpieces too heavy for humans.  It is easy to deploy in small factories or manufacturing lines, helping to improve productivity in any field.
(3) Design:
We have designed the 360º visible indicator and body cover for the workers’ “safety and security”.  Its design provides tool-less unmounting, and consistent ease in implementation, setting and maintenance.
