Announcement about Award at the 2025 Japan Packaging Contest

CKD Corporation (Head Office: Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Katsuhito Okuoka) is pleased to announce that its environment-friendly new Blister pack product, “Clear E-Sheet”, has received the Appropriate Packaging Award at the 2025 Japan Packaging Contest, organized by the Japan Packaging Institute.

Notice) Blister pack: A packaging format commonly used for tablets and capsules that allows them to be pushed out with a finger.

      1. Overview of the Japan Packaging Contest
        The Japan Packaging Contest is the largest packaging competition in Japan, It is the 47th time this year. It aims to promote the development and dissemination of outstanding packaging and packaging technologies by evaluating entries from all aspects of packaging and selecting the most excellent works.
      2. Award Details
        (1)Award Category: Packaging Technology Award – Appropriate Packaging Award
        (2)Awarded Product: Clear E-Sheet
        (3)Evaluation Highlights:
        The packaging technology was highly praised for its innovative approach—being the first of its kind in the world for blister pack—based on the concept of “Reduce,” significantly cutting down resource consumption and waste generation.
      3. About Clear E-Sheet
        Clear E-Sheet is a next-generation blister pack designed with environmental sustainability in mind. While maintaining the same packaging quality as conventional blister pack, it reduces the use of plastic and other packaging materials by over 7%, and cuts plastic waste generated during the packaging process by over 70%.
        A distinctive feature of Clear E-Sheet is its partially transparent (Clear) edge, visually conveying its commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
