The DSC Series Speed Controller with Dial. It was designed in 2010 with the concept of "increased visualization of operations". Irrespective of the experience of the operator, the speed of a cylinder could be easily adjusted by confirming the dial increments.Furthermore, in 2016, a compact type compatible with port sizes of M5, R1/8 was released. At the time of development, we wanted something smaller, yet the increments needed to be easily read with a dial that was easy to grip and turn. We then found the best balance between compactness and user friendliness.
In addition, as the industry's first, we created a dial in which the increments could be felt at your fingertips when the dial is turned. This allowed for easier adjustments even when the dial could not be seen due to a dark environment or the mounting location.
We are proud to say that our DSC Series was awarded Japan's Good Design Award and the world renown iF Design Award for all disciplines. CKD will continue to create products that have not only functionality, but also offering stress-free operation.
