Clamp

Requests and Issues

Currently, glass bottles are clamped by linear slide cylinders.
Since glass bottles are damaged when impact force is applied, they are used with shock absorbers.
To improve productivity, we want to increase tact time, but we cannot improve tact time due to the shock absorber's operation time.

Recommendations

The FLCR Series for multiple workpieces and the DMSDG Series for single workpieces are recommended.

FLCR Series

DMSDG Series

The table type FLCR Series is best suited for clamping multiple workpieces because it can position multiple workpieces at a maximum of 64 points.
Even if the operating speed is increased, low-speed operation is possible in the "pressing mode," thus increasing the tact time of the equipment and at the same time reducing shock.
The LCR Series linear slide cylinder does not require a shock absorber and is not only more compact than the LCR Series pneumatic linear slide cylinder, but is also maintenance-free.

Normally, when replacing a pneumatic component with an electric component, the motor area of the electric component would seem to increase, but the FLCR Series has a motor built into the actuator body, making it possible to easily replace the LCR Series with the same size.

The DMSDG Series, a compact guided type, is designed for single workpieces and specializes in positioning between two points.
The body is equivalent to that of the MSDG Series of small compact cylinders for pneumatic components and can be easily replaced with an electric motion device.

The drive mechanism uses a spring drive method in which the motor rotates the spring.
Due to the spring mechanism, constant speed operation during pressing is not required, reducing impact on the workpiece.

The DMSDG Series requires no complicated programming and connects to the ESC3 Series controller with only three inputs.
Settings with a dedicated tool is not required.
The stop position can be adjusted with the cylinder switch on the actuator body, and the speed and acceleration/deceleration can be adjusted with the rotary DIP switch on the controller side, allowing easy handling just like pneumatic components.
