Requests and Issues
To transfer a single workpiece between two points.
Currently, Air cylinders are used, but due to air compressibility problems and fluctuations in the source pressure, the speed is unstable, resulting in unstable tact time in production.Therefore, we would like to replace it with Electric actuators that can set the speed and acceleration/deceleration.
We also want to replace our current guided Air cylinders with Electric actuators without making major design changes to existing equipment. (without dealing with additional guides.)
Recommendations
Pneumatic devices do not have stable speed due to the characteristics of air (compressibility), but electric actuators can set the acceleration/deceleration and speed, enabling stable operation with a constant tact time.
In addition, the DSTG Series and GSTG Series use the same guide as the guided cylinder STG Series, and can be replaced with the same size without the need for additional guide installation.
We recommend the DSTG Series for transferring between two points and the GSTG Series for multiple workpieces.

The DSTG Series requires no complicated programming and connects to the ESC3 Series controller with only three inputs. The stop position can be adjusted with the cylinder switch on the actuator body, and the speed and acceleration/deceleration can be adjusted with the rotary DIP switch on the controller side without the use of a dedicated tools, and can be handled as easily as Air components.
For multi-model workpieces, the actuator must be operated in a stroke suited to each workpiece.In this case, we recommend the GSTG Series, which can operate at multiple points.
Since it is connected to the ECG Series controller and the ECMG Series multi-axis controller, which are common to other types of actuators, the controllers can also be standardized, contributing to reductions in inventory and man-hours required for management.
You can choose from a total of five interfaces: PIO, IO-Link, CC-Link, EtherCAT, and EtherNet/IP.
